Crowdfunding for María de Buenos Aires CD

Throughout 2016 we are fundraising to record the incredible work, María de Buenos Aires, by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer.

To record and distribute a CD internationally requires a high-profile label, and we are delighted to continue our relationship with independent Edinburgh-based company Delphian Records. The label contributes a huge amount to the production, and we are currently fundraising for the remainder.

We are welcoming donations of all sizes from individuals who would like to support this dream!

You can send a cheque, choosing whether to opt for a donation that will place you on our CD pre-order list, which means that you will be sent a CD once available. Or, for a larger donation, you can receive the CD plus ticket(s) to the concert in June 2016. Details of donation levels and postal address in the Donation Form below.

Mr McFall's Chamber is a small artist-led group, which is run as an association led by a board of trustees who give their time and expertise pro bono. The group is registered as a charitable organisation with OSCR, and has the registration number SC028348.

Each musical project the group undertakes requires a great deal of fundraising as, generally, the more creative the idea the more difficult it is for earned income to cover the costs. The usual pattern is that concert fees/ticket sales cover the artists performing costs. What we left to fundraise for are all the development and rehearsal costs, publicity and marketing, education and learning activities, and core costs such as admin time, insurances, and accounting. We make regular applications to the public funders (Creative Scotland) and to private trusts. We are hugely grateful for their support.
