Brian Schiele has died, our viola player. Last year he underwent a massive operation to remove a cancer on he jaw. Our gig in the Queens Hall last November with Dominic Waxing Lyrical was his first performance for about eight months following that operation. Subsequently he was able to play in several SCO concerts - to a huge welcome back - but his cancer returned in March and he died on Easter Monday.
