Robert McFall is the main administrator, arranger and 2nd violinist (and occasional viola and mandolin player) of the group. He has played in the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for more than twenty years and was before that in the Philharmonia Orchestra in London. He has written string arrangements for a number of artists including Eliza Carthy, Heather Macleod and Andi Neate, and has written orchestrations for perforance by Marti Pellow. His orchestral arrangement of Auld Lang Syne was performed by Marie Campbell as the final item of the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra's New Year's Eve concert at the end of Liverpool's year as Euopean City of Culture.
