Last year, we were thrilled to give the premieres of four new works by young composers, written as companion pieces to Gavin Bryars' Eight Irish Madrigals. We were so impressed with the results that we commissioned one of the four composers, Joel Rust, to add a further three movements to his piece in order to create another four-movement work.

We're delighted to be premiering Joel's new work, From Elm-Tops, alongside Bryars' Madrigals, with Susan Hamilton (soprano) and Nicholas Mulroy (tenor) in the beautiful surroundings of Dalmeny Kirk.

Dalmeny Kirk Concerts are special events: each concert begins with a two-course served dinner with wine followed by a short walk to the Norman-period church.
