This concert brings the string quintet from Mr McFall's Chamber together with fiddle player Chris Stout and harpist Catriona McKay. There is a theme about cultural exchange across the North Sea. The programme includes music by Edvard Grieg, whose grandfather came from Fraserburgh as a political refugee (and economic migrant) and settled in Norway, as well as by John Dowland, an English lutenist who was composer at the Royal Danish court at the beginning of the 17th century. We also play a number of Chris and Catriona's own compositions.
